NATURAL RESOURCES
Natural resources
(economically referred to as land or raw materials) occur naturally within
environments that exist relatively undisturbed by mankind, in a natural form. A
natural resource is often characterized by amounts of biodiversity existent in
various ecosystems.
Natural resources are derived
from the environment. Many of them are essential for our survival while others
are used for satisfying our wants. Natural resources may be further classified
in different ways.
Natural resources are raw
materials from the environtment which are used by organism including humans of
their continuity of life
RENEWABLE
RESOURCES
Renewable resources are ones
that can be replenished or reproduced easily. Some of them, like sunlight, air,
wind, etc., are continuously available and their quantity is not affected by
human consumption. Many renewable resources can be depleted by human use, but
may also be replenished, thus maintaining a flow. Some of these, like
agricultural crops, take a short time for renewal; others, like water, take a
comparatively longer time, while still others, like forests, take even longer.
Renewable resources are
resources that can be produced by natural processes
THE EXAMPLE OF RENEWABLE RESOURCES
*Wood to build
houses is from forest
* Water in your kitchen might come from a wellspring in remote place
NON
RENEWABLE RESOURCES
Non renewable resources are
formed over very long geological periods. Minerals and fossil fuels are
included in this category. Since their rate of formation is extremely slow,
they cannot be replenished once they get depleted. Of these, the metallic
minerals can be re-used by recycling them. But coal and petroleum cannot be
recycled.
Nonrenewable resources are
resources that cannot be produced by natural processes.
THE EXAMPLE OF NON RENEWABLE
RESOURCES
The example of non
renewable:metals such as aluminium, iron, silver uranium, gold, petrolium ,and
other of mineral.
Renewable resources such as the movement of
(, including ; used for ), (used for ),
(used for ); and (used for ) are
practically infinite and cannot be depleted, unlike their non-renewable
counterparts, which are likely to run out if not used wisely. Still, these
technologies are not fully utilized.
POLLUTION
A. AIR POLLUTION
B. WATER POLLUTION
C. SOIL POLLUTION
D. ENVIRONTMENTAL POLLUTION
POLLUTION
Pollution is the introduction of
contaminants into an environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or
discomfort to the i.e. physical systems
or living organisms. Pollution can take the form of or , such as noise, heat, or light.
Pollutants, the elements of pollution, can be foreign substances or energies,
or naturally occurring; when naturally occurring, they are considered
contaminants when they exceed natural levels. Pollution is often classed
as or . The issues annually a list of the world's worst
polluted places.
Pollution is
its input energy substance, living being, or other component into
environmentally so environment situation becomes changed
POLLUTAN
Substance or
happening causative material it pollution.
A Substance was
called by pollutan if its
existence operated an by environment can evoke loss to other living being.
A Substance gets to be called by polutan if:
ü a. Amount the
overshot normal bounds
ü b. Lie on imprecise place
ü c. Lie at the
time which wide of the mark
AIR POLLUTION
Air so
necessary for living thing life is earthed, if air formation experiences
changing of normal formation, that air matter was begrimed and air begrimed one
gets to trouble man life.
Its input
scene polutan airs into air so gets to down air quality
AIR POLLUTION
Pollutan :
Gases released by industry, motor vehicles,
housing, all gases from burning fossil fuels, and CFCs
Impact:
~ Earth's temperature rise
caused by the greenhouse effect
~ Climate change because rising global temperatures
~ Polar ice melting because of climate change and resulting sea level rise
~ Increase of sulfur can cause acid rain
How to Handles:
~ Participate in the greening
~ Take care not to disturb or city parks and tree protector
~ Does not do logging, trees and wild plants arbitrarily
~ Reduce fuel use and replace them with electricity or water power
AIR POLLUTAN
Cause of air pollution available two kinds
which is:
1. internal
factor, as dust that flies since blown by wind, dust that is issued from
flaming mountain eruption, gas gases vulkanik, and waste the process of
obsolence.
2. external
factor (usufruct human activity). e.g. fossil fuel burn result, chemical
substance substance using up that is utilized in mid air
Polutan's component airs:
A. Polutan that
indigenous smoke which issued by vehicle: carbon monoxide or CO
B. Polutan that
indigenous gases buangan burn result: oxide nitrogen or NO.
C. Polutan that
indigenous yielding coal and oil burn: oxide brimstone or SOx
D. Particle:
particle is polutan's materials airs that gets to form solid
E. CFC and Lead
EFFECT
OR IMPACT FROM AIR POLLUTION
v Effect air
pollution to environmentally and over the world :
·
Acid Rain
·
Ozone Layer Damage
·
Greenhouse Effect and Global Instillation
v Pollution influence airs to human
body:
·
To Eyes
·
To Respiratory Organ
·
To Heart
Pollution Influence Airs to Human Body:
A. To Eyes : Compound in
smoke causes to wink gets water and pain. If
that compound available in number a lot of, sight becomes to elope.
B. To Respiratory Organ : ozone causes
iritation on nose and throat feels is a-fire. ozone can also minimize lung.
C. To Heart : Carbondioxide
who is breathed in will get cords with blood cell is constrained in channels
oxygen to go to all body. pain on chest because of its low titrates oxygen.
ACID RAIN
Coal and oil
burn will issue rest substance (issue) in large quantities as sulfurdioksida's
substance (SO2), ground particle, and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). If sulfurdioksida
and leach oxide in rainwater will evoke acid rain
EFFECT FROM ACID RAIN
v Acid Rain Effects To Living
Things (Animals & Plants):
Acid rain can kill plants and
animals that can not stand acid.
v Acid Rain Effects for Humans:
~ Hazardous substances that are dissolved in soil fertility and consequently
less soil and the tree will die
~ Destroy plant tissues and interfere with plant growth
~ Acid rain causing the water pH falls below normal so disturbed aquatic
ecosystems
~ Can damage buildings
v Acid Rain Effects for
Building :
Acid rain can also damage
buildings containing lime or iron.
OZONE LAYER DAMAGE
Ozone is
shaped oxygen which unstable. Ozone causes pollution if there is at elbow earth
surface. functioning ozone layer as protecting as screen sun-shine ultraviolet
radiation.
Chemical
material that can wreck ozone layer :
1. Sprayers
chemical substance hall that utilized by luxuriant ala. E.g., hairspray,
perfume
2. Hall
coolant which is CFC = Freon
3. Foam is plastic
Effort who
can be done to tackling ozone layer damage:
1. CFC'S
purpose limit (freon) In day-to-day life (specifically for AC)
2. cut back
or substance purpose stop aerosol in spatial spraying
3. Purpose
stop foams plastic that contains CFC.
Greenhouse
Effect
and Global Warming
Greenhouse
makes temperature in it warmer than outside. it because greenhouse absorb solar
radiation and prevents it issue. in same trick, atmosphere makes to earth
warming regular. So called Greenhouse Effect
What ever gas at
atmospheric personation one "greenhouse" ?, Most effective gas bate
heat bounce of earth is carbondioxide. carbondioxide particularly being
resulted from fossil fuel burn, e.g. smoulder and petroleum stone. if
carbondioxide's gas too much, heat that rebounds from earth surface stymied by
carbondioxide and rebounding comes down to earth. accordingly, surface
temperature earths to increase, This called global warming.
WATER POLLUTION
Water
pollution is polutan's input water into environmentally water so gets to down
water quality.
Begrimed
water is water already deviate from its normal
state, and its auspices is:
A. Changing pH
B. Changing Water Temperature
C. Discoloration, Odor, Taste
WATER
POLLUTION
¨ Pollutan :
¨ ~ Use as a washing detergent
~ Use of fuels such as petroleum
~ Littering eg. organic waste
~ Excessive use of insecticides
¨ Impact:
¨ ~ Extinction of the organism
in water
~ Fish or other aquatic animals can be contaminated with toxic people who eat
it
¨ How to Handles:
~ Do not throw garbage into the gutter
~ Do not throw liquid waste into sewers or rivers
~ Do not throw away the rest of the drug or insecticide into the ditch or river
WATER POLLUTAN
Usufruct
human activity that contaminate water which is:
A. Industrial
waste that contain chemical substance substance that dangerously toxic.
B. Family
waste, one that consisting of pigswill, slops, bath water and Urinoir
C. Yielding
chemical substance pesticide purpose, oil spill of tanker's ship
THE
IMPACT FROM WATER POLLUTION
v A. Water
sacrilege by indigenous inorganic chemistry material plant manure:
} - if its
luxuriant purpose and its imprecise discharge can contaminate river, lake,
accumulating basin, and oceanic and another water source
v B. Water
sacrilege by inorganic chemistry material as sour as, salt, and metal:
} - Indecent
water to be drunk
} - downing food plant
production
v C. Water
sacrilege by organic chemistry material that as oil, pesticide, detergent:
} - Can kill
fish and thes living one other being at water
v D.
Eutrofikasi's happening Which Is waste which contain nitrate and ingoing
phosphate goes to waters can cause excessive growth on algae.
SOIL POLLUTION
Soiled
pollution is polutan's input earth into soiled so gets to down earth quality
SOIL
POLLUTION
} Pollutan:
} ~ Household waste (garbage)
~ Industrial waste
~ Agricultural waste
~ Waste market
} Impact:
} ~ Kill microorganisms
(decomposing), Animals, plants
~ Dumping heavy metals into the soil (at random) will contaminate the soil
~ Heavy metals can damage nerves and cause defects in the offspring of
organisms
} How to Handles:
} ~ Every household should be
easy to sort out the garbage decomposes a difficult decomposed
~ Every household should recycle the waste that can be described
~ Every person should have to throw trash in the appropriate fields
ENVIRONTMENTAL POLLUTION
Environtmental polution is The entry of materials into
the environment that can interfere with living organisms in it. contamination
occurred either naturally or due to human action.
All life
being result waste who can be recycled by physical process. but then, if
resulting waste more a lot of and not in proportion to process runaway speed
recycles will happen environment pollution.
